The new QAPI condition of participation requires hospice programs to develop, implement and maintain an effective, ongoing, comprehensive and data-driven quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program. To meet the requirements of this new CoP and its five standards, hospice programs will, at a minimum, need to refine their current quality improvement program.
