Compliance Hotline

Consistent with the OIG’s Compliance Guidance, HCN’s Compliance Hotline is a confidential reporting mechanism that enables employees, volunteers, and others to voice concerns related to potential fraud and abuse. In the event of a call or other communication to the Compliance Hotline, HCN provides a report to the hospice for follow-up. Quarterly reports are provided as well.

The Compliance Hotline:

• Is available to all HCN member hospices

• Consists of a toll-free number, email address, and mailing address that HCN members can use as their own internal reporting hotline

• Provides anonymity and confidentiality, if requested

• Includes materials necessary to promote the availability of the hotline service to the HCN member’s staff, volunteers, patients

Hospice Market AtlasTM

HealthPivots’ custom Hospice Market Atlas, a complimentary offering in partnership with Weatherbee, contains detailed market data based on annual Medicare fee-for-service claims from 2005-2019. Members may select up to three providers of interest to learn about hospital partners, counties of operation, number of patients served, average daily census, and more. They may also select up to three counties of interest to learn about the market share of providers that serve these counties and the reach of hospice services..

Quarterly Roundtable

HCN constantly monitors national and regional regulatory issues, learning about the latest changes in order to help its members. HCN members have access to hospice experts every three months during live Quarterly Roundtable conference calls. Each call begins with a brief overview of the latest changes and their implications for hospices. Ample time is allotted during each call for members to pose questions and share concerns, challenges and in formation.

 

Forum

The HCN Forum provides a convenient way to share compliance and quality questions, challenges, ideas, best practices, and resources with hospice professionals across the country.

 

To promote lively discussions, the Forum is open and available to HCN members, including the Hospice Compliance Letter archives and Regulatory & Consulting Reference Center, and non-members — you can start message threads, post questions, search and share documents, and reply to questions and to pics posted by others.
